Analytical and communications skills from 20 years of commercial litigation and appeals. Twenty-seven years of experience and relationships in the drug policy reform movement. Some things I've done: - advised the Denver psychoactive mushroom decriminalization campaign, including selecting the language for the initial drafts of the ballot initiative; - explained the fundamental Constitutional defect in the DEA's legal theory for cannabis prohibition; - organized the first public discussion of the racial disparities in the mass arrest of New Yorkers for possession of personal-use amounts of cannabis; - created a corporate structure for the New York City Cannabis Parade, began securing commercial sponsors, and recruited elected officials and organized labor to participate for the first time in its 40-year history; - created the term "psychedelic law" and articulated general principles for future generations.
