Russell Thomas
Bio
Russell Thomas founded and raised capital for multiple technology companies. His career began in cleantech with the invention of a new engine technology on which he filed over 40 patents. Russell assembled boards that included a former president of Chevron, a CEO of a major automotive supplier, and a former governor and Secretary of the Navy. When cannabis was legalized, Russell founded Vapor Distilled and LifeTonic under the name NES Technologies to commercialize a solventless extraction technology that directly distills cannabinoids from dry plant material. Vapor Distilled became one of the world’s largest suppliers of premium USDA Organic hemp extract and supplies some of the top CBD brands. Russell is an inventor on nearly 200 patents and has amassed one of the largest intellectual property portfolios in the cannabis industry. They are currently in the middle of a Series A fundraising round.
